Bored with no friends?

I am 12 and in 6th grade. My friends are at a party that was arranged at school today, that I am pretty sure that I would have been invited to. Another township, where my bf lives, is having a game night tonight, with face painting and a DJ. But I don't think it's really his style, because he usually goes to high school parties even though we are only in 6th grade, and so do I. Should I ask if he is going/ask him to go? If not, what should I do tonight?
