Does K9 Advantix kill and repel fleas? What type of spray should I use on my backyard and indoors?

I have noticed that my dog, Brownie, has been scratching repeatedly, and I wanted to know if K9 Advantix works! I also want to know which spray you guys recommend; we have fleas on our backyard too. HE is an indoor and outdoor dog, and really has loads of fleas. Can you help me?
