Township not enforcing property ordinances?

In most places, a local government is immune from suit for its discretionary decision. No local government has an unlimited budget and they must decide how to spend the dough they have. Ordinances concerning nuisance exist not so much so that the local government can spend taxpayer money to enforce them, but so that you can use the existence of the ordinances to get a court to order compliance. They are designed for private enforcement by those affected by the property. Consult a lawyer in your state on how to go about it.
