Why do these two cats dislike each other now?

have two inside cats the one constantly in heat and the kitten... there is a screen door that both cats were looking out of and an outside cat approached the step, having only the screen door seperating the three..the older one(constantly in heat) started growling at the outside cat..inside the house a loud noise was made creating a psychotic indoor cat...it started attacking the kitten...we got them seperated but now they will have nothing to do with each other... tried to hold them both and get them back to their playful moods but only recieved a few hisses.....idk what to do?
