Fleas are eating me alive?

I need help. One night I laid down with my indoor cat. He stays in my room and never leaves it. And by the next night I kept feeling something on my face pinching. I turned on the light to see a flea on my hand. In 2 days I wasn't able to sleep from fleas jumping all over. I bathed my cat with a all natural flea bath because I was told it was the best flea dip. In addition I bought advantage from the vet and gave him a dose. How do I get the fleas killed. I only want to know stuff that's tried and worked. Not something you think would work. My last roommates (before I owned the cat) had fleas so bad from their outdoor dog that flea bombing the entire house twice didn't kill them and I ended up having to move from getting sick from flea bombs. It's much the same. I think he would be fine to jump on grass for the first time at the show- you probably won't notice the difference. Only it can get slippy, so if it's raining (which it always seems to be whenever I go to a show!!) just go steady. Being barefoot will actually help to stop him slipping so don't worry about him needing shoes :)

Mother-in-laws are fickle creatures. I suggest you talk to her about it, but approach it gently and make sure to tell her that you're not trying to criticize her housekeeping. She probably doesn't smell it because she's at home all the time so maybe that's why she ignored it when someone else brought it up to her. Her family moved in with her 2 months ago.. they dont like me... but they also dont like the cats, so they basically either force the cats to be either outside or in her room. This cat was not used to being outside, and so he got hit by a car. NO SURPIRSE THERE.... For the two years that i have dated this woman i have made sure that the cats are always indoor, specifically because of this. But now i am not even sure i am even welcomed in that house, as her family moving in has changed the dynamic of the situation.. they don't like the fact i am agnostic, they are all evangelicals. So when my gf texts em that her cat got killed, I said i was very sorry .. but when she told me how.. I FLEW OFF THE HANDLE..... specifically because i LOVED this cat.. he was an amazing cat with awesome personality, and was only 5 years old... I basically said.. why couldn't it have been one of the other cats...... on i didn't like so much, ...... she then flipped out... and said to leave her alone...!! this was all over text... ..... .. DOES SHE NOT UNDERSTAND THAT HER FAMILY is partially responsible for this cat being dead... they didint even have the guts to tell her face to face.. they just called her..!!!! And now she has the gaul to be mad at me!!!

I have lived (with my wife) in our 2nd story apartment for almost 6 years. in the past couple years our property went smoke free so I decided to quit and I am still not smoking. About 2 months ago a lady rented the studio apartment below ours that the rest had been converted into the managers office. Out of no where we start getting talked to by the manager about her complaints of us smoking in our apartment. My wife smokes ONLY when out at bars and social events where others are smoking but never at our apartment. So because the property manager and assistant manager are both friends of ours, they no we are not smoking and that this lady is a little off her rocker. about a month ago we started hearing very loud bangs that sometimes shook our apartment that come from the studio below. On 6/15 there is a letter on our door typed from our neighbor telling us that our smoking in the apartment is causing her health issues and is upsetting her dogs hyperthyroid issue. I wrote her a very professional letter back stating that A. We do not smoke. B. we have 2 indoor cats that we would NEVER make them suffer from second hand smoke. C. that we both live right on a busy road and maybe she is smelling the car exhaust. and D. smoke rises. the last thing I wrote was the times and dates of some previous banging noises and asked that they stop. about 2 days later we had another letter from her stating that she is definatly smelling our cigarette smoke and that the banging is happening when she smells us smoking. SO, I have talked to the property manager, she is fed up with the psycho, I have emailed HER boss twice with no response. I can't catch the banging on camera because it is at the most random times. I don't want to get the police involved only because having been raised by a cop I know they have better **** to do with their time than knock on doors and smell for cigarettes. Even if I do call them she will probably make up some B S story about how it is all in our heads and we smoke (Crazy people can make up some really believable stories when they need to, I dated a few...) (j/k) Does anyone have similar experiences, how did you deal with it, or does anybody have any suggestions on how I should move forward? Thank you for you reading!

Why do I just care about her happiness more than mine?

Okay so a little background information: My friend went out with a girl for like 3 months or so. During this time I became very close with who he was going out, and we became good friends. I became her outlet for relationship problems, and I was kind of "in the relationship" it seemed because at one time I was on Facebook and BOTH of them were coming to me about what they should do. I kind of freaked out and let them know that I didn't direct their relationship. I shouldn't of freaked out, but it was just getting ridiculous! Anyways, we were all cool, because my freak out wasn't that bad. I just let them know. But I digress... I became her relationship advisor, which was cool because I had every chance to stand up for my friend. It got to the point where I knew that she was unhappy in her relationship a MONTH before she broke up with him. When she actually broke up with him I was at a water park and I left my phone in the room. When I got back I had a text from him, a text from another one of my friends, and a missed call from her. I excused myself to go in the hall so I could call her back. When she picked up it seemed like she was almost in tears, she had explained that her friends had pressured her into doing it. I comforted her, all the while I was confused. In the weeks that followed she relapsed and realized that she still loved him, and talked with him to explain that she just wanted a break. However, he moved on, while she still got teary eyed thinking about him. Throughout their relationship on my part I started realizing that I had feelings for her, do to the fact that we talked a ton and had a ton in common. She didn't feel the same, but she did say that my conversations with her were a lot more exciting than her conversations with my friend. Recently near the end of school we went on a grade wide trip to a water park. Both of her friends had guys they were hanging out with and she felt like she was a third wheel. That was the first half of her day, my first half was hanging out with my friends nonstop. However me and my friends moved to the indoor part where she was with her friends. It turns out my friends ditched me, her friends ditched her, and one of my friends was also there. So we formed a three person group and we hung out a lot for the next 2 hours. She constantly talked with me about wanting to have a boyfriend and how lonely she was. Before her friends actually ditched her we were all in the lazy river and she was talking with her friend about how she wanted to have a boyfriend. Her friend suggested she went out with me (I don't know if it was sarcastic or not, but it sure seemed like it was) and me and her met eyes for a second, and then she jumped to saying "No!" and she came up with some of the worst excuses possible. It was actually kind of funny. But I digress again, whenever she went to me for advice I pointed out other people. I feel like I wouldn't be able to make her happy, so I ignore my feelings for her happiness. I talked with my friend (the one who went out with her, he's the only one who knows about my feelings for her) on the bus ride home and he criticized my lack of doing anything about my feelings for her that day, and he even told me that I wouldn't get a better chance. But I realized I didn't want my own happiness, I wanted her to be happy. Why is this? If you actually read through that, thanks! :D

These are really lovely. I think Victoria Sharon would sound gorgeous, so would Willow Grace and both are so original and underused. Which sight would work better at a dimly lit shooting range?

I was using a Hi-Viz fiber optic sight, and the indoor range was rather dimly lit, and I probably could have used the white opaque light tube and had a better sight picture. And i'm going to try that next time also. I guess what I really want to know is if a tritium sight would work in a dimly lit, indoor firing range, or do tritium sights need even darker conditions? How dark does it have to be for a tritium sight to "light up"? Ok so I am a freshman girl going to be a sophomore and I do cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. About 2 weeks ago i just started running again after 3 weeks after track ended due to another injury in my thigh. Within a week of running I developed this pain in my fibula right above my ankle that hurts when I touch and run on it. I appear to have bug bites when i wake yet my wife doesnt ?

Last Friday I was bit by a Mosquito. Not really thinking about it a few days passed and My angles began to itch... with that being said it seems that my hands , elbows , and ankles seem to have several bites on them more and tends to show when i wake! We have no signs of bed bugs and my wife has not been bitten , and i clean 2-3 times a week (vacuuming/ dusting/laundry). We have had a cat adopted now since march.. with front line and hes a indoor cat only so I dont think its fleas either but i could be wrong? I just know Im loosing my mind here because I had scabies once be4 so i know what it looks and feel like this is totally different and only itches a short period of time and dissipates threw out the day.. i did notice if I break skin a clear oil (not a lot ) secretes. My cat is an indoor cat and she lacks the necessary survival skills of an outdoor cat. She LOVES to go outside, she would meow and meow till I open the door and let her outside but only when shes on her leash. Which is cheaper: Buying another home or adding on to what we have?

We own an older home, approximately 1920s, concrete block, a bit over 1K square feet. We're running out of space as our family has expanded, and are trying to weigh our options. We have almost no equity in this house, though we've made about $20K worth of improvements (new windows, roof, etc). Our credit is okay, but not perfect, and we're pretty sure if we sell our home we'll sell for a loss. That being said, there is the space factor. What should we do? Amusement park in oxnard,california that existed during the early, mid seventies?

When I was about 7 or 8 my dad used to take us to an amusement park in oxnard,ca. It was located on wagon wheel road. Of course now there is a indoor ice skating rink. Anyhow, this park contained a train(not sure if it was actual steam) there was a snack bar, a boat ride for littler kids that went around in a trough I think filled with water and some other neat rides. My cat Luna ran away awhile ago, but she's always been an indoor cat. We've seen her around the house for a few weeks, but I'm the only one she trusts and last night was the first time I've seen her. Someone stole my cat and I can't stop crying?

I'm 13 and she is(was) so close to me and I love her dearly.. We found her as a stray 1 year ago (actually she found us- she came up to our doorstep starved and cold) and we took her in.. she's an indoor-outdoor cat and regularly went outside daily (I live in an apartment on the second story) and she always came back and was allowed to go back down again. Department of Environmental Protection Clean Stream Act Violation?

I live in Southwestern, Pa. I reported a violation to the State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)and the German township sewage officer (SO). The violation was, raw sewage from a restaurant/motel business was allowed to flow into a stream that emptied into the Monongahela river. (Clearly a violation of The Clean Stream Act)There is two other businesses in the area. Their septic systems were checked and wasn't causing the violation. The SO and DEP inspector stated all three businesses were at fault. There is plans for a sewage plant and etc. in the future. If they (the other two businesses)couldn't wait they would all have to install holding tanks. The SO stated he would make a cover for the storm drain opening to stop the smell from coming out of it. The workers at the businesses (all females) would have to remove the cover when it rains and cover it when rain stops. The stench from this is awful. Anyone coming to these businesses and the surrounding home owners complain about the smell. I believe the DEP inspector and the SO are using a scare tactic to keep the restaurant/motel out of trouble since they added more motel units and added a restaurant to the old septic system.The DEP states they don't enforce septic system laws it's up to the Townships Sewage Officer. What steps should be taken?

Cat pulling out her fur?

Ok, so a female tuxedo cat who lives in Mesa, AZ, indoor/outdoor cat, and lives with 2 other female tuxedo cats, all indoor/outdoor. None of the other cats have any issues, and all are healthy and happy as could be. However, our dominant female, who is part Siamese, is pulling out the fur on her lower back. it is getting progressively worse. whenever she grooms herself, we find small clumps of fur strewn across the house. We treat her regularly for worms, since she is partly outdoors. None of the other cats have flees, so we know that is not what it is, and she has also had progressive weight loss. she is not due for her examination for several months, so I was wondering if anybody knew what is is that is bothering her, and if I can buy it over the counter? she has no obvious ailments besides thin fur on her back end, and inching up her torso. health ears, healthy gums, healthy eyes, healthy eating, pooling, and temper. any suggestions?

My head is like chaos... it is like suppressed thoughts all going round in my head at once. Sometimes I get flashbacks of bad things that have happened in my life (being bullied etc) and it is making my life hell. Why are we forced to accept increases in our property taxes when real estate values are...?

In our locale, a few year back, a similar thing happened. AND, we heard that the municipality was giving people a hard time who were appealing the valuation of their homes. So, we hired an appraiser for $200 and had a very rudimentary appraisal done. The appraisal came in well below the city's valuation especially after recent sale comparables were factored in. We then found out that the city was obligated to lower the valuation in light of a professional appraisal. There was no legal room for them to give us a hard time, so they didn't--they lowered it immediatley! It reduced the taxes so much that we more than paid for the appraisal. I don't know if this works any other places, but it sure worked for us. At any rate, always appeal the valuation since you have nothing to lose. I know one guy who appealed his automatically regardless of what they said it was worth, and many times they just lowered it rather than go through the time and expense of disputing it. A bit gutsier than I care for, but it worked for him.

I had a small party that received a noise complaint and the police came. They did not go to the front door, instead they entered the neighbors yards and surrounded us. They tried to hide and sneak up but failed miserably and were immediately spotted. We were not drinking yet the police entered the patio and looked around with flashlights despite my protest to go to the front door and talk to my dad since I am a minor. I took in a cat that had been left by another neighbor when they moved. I already knew the cat and they left her pregnant. She went out one morning at about 4am. I found her at 6am in the road in front of their house. She had been shot in the back. We took her to the vet and neither she or her kittens survived. During this time, our car windows have been shot out and my kids bikes were all stolen. I've lived in the house my whole life (it's already paid off) and I don't want to move. Orthodontist changed the price of my care after one year in braces and took them off because I couldn't pay.?

My initial visit to the Orthodontist was to see how much it would cost to straighten my four lower front teeth. The rest of my teeth were very straight. The Orthodontist agreed that my teeth were not bad and said "you will only need braces for about a year and that will be much cheaper for you". So they gave me the estimate of $1100.00. My insurance said they pay 75% up to $2000.00. My cost would be $375.00 ($275.00 plus my $100.00 deductible.) I agreed to the service and the braces were put on in October of 2009. All through the treatment the Orthodontist was telling me my teeth were moving good, and she started talking about them coming off around July 2010. Then one day after my adjustment at the end of August 2010, the appointment person told me there had been a mistake when they priced my braces and that I owed them $1700.00 to be paid before they could remove the braces. I freaked out, I could not pay $1700.00, no way. Then I found out that they already billed and received the full $2000.00 from my insurance. After them refusing to touch my teeth for four months the said they would take them off, this was January 2011, but that I had to buy the retainer that cost $500.00 or my teeth would shift back. I did buy the retainer and figured everything would be alright, but I had some bite issues and the Otho assistant said "that's because your bite was not finished, WHAT? DO NOT GET RID OF THEM PLEASE LISTEN, no matter what terrible things you go through in your life you should NOT get rid of your dogs. DO NOT PLEASE DO NOT bring him to the shelter. I had a pitbull puppy, 7 months old. She refused to go in the crate to, was awful on the leash, and always wanted to go out. I was VERY attached to her. We got rid of her because WE WERE depressed and annoyed with her. NOW WE WANT her back because it WAS A BIG MISTAKE. I got VERY sick over it and REGRET it ALOT!!!!!! I was a lunotic to do that! dogs in shelters ARE VERY HARD to adopt out! THEY'LL live the REST of THEIR lives in the shelter!! sometimes the shelter's will put them down depending if its a kill shelter. EVEN THE SPCA is a AWFUL shelter most people DO NOT ADOPT there because their fees are TO HIGH and their APPLICATIONS are WAYYYYYYYYY to impossible to be approved and PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO GO through that. you had the dogs a long time, be patient with them, when you get a breed like a lab or pitbull they are a BIG responsiblity, but they are so sweet to their family. TAKE MY ADVICE and keep them both FOREVER. You'll be HAPPY you did.

Why do these two cats dislike each other now?

have two inside cats the one constantly in heat and the kitten... there is a screen door that both cats were looking out of and an outside cat approached the step, having only the screen door seperating the three..the older one(constantly in heat) started growling at the outside cat..inside the house a loud noise was made creating a psychotic indoor cat...it started attacking the kitten...we got them seperated but now they will have nothing to do with each other... tried to hold them both and get them back to their playful moods but only recieved a few hisses.....idk what to do?

How do I teach my puppy to be confident to be outside by herself?

I have a 5 month old newfoundland. She is an indoor dog but I build her a huge fenced in yard to play in with a lot of shade and a large dog house and everything she would need. The only problem is when we go outside and she realized I didn't follow she instantly runs back to the door and barks. I would never plan to leave her more than 20-30 minutes. I just want her to get some fresh air and exercise while I get my dinner started. Please help. I just want to make her less anxious.

Paintball business/field, indoor office scenario?

Hi i am considering starting a paintball business, the only catch is that it will be indoor but not a speed ball indoor court, instead it will be a 50,000 sf office building. I was just wondering peoples opinions about it. Its 2 story and has a basement, there are 66 rooms as well. Might take some space and add a speed ball course but for now im just keeping it a big office building. please just let me know your input on it and if you think it would do well. Lighting for my iguana?

What would possess someone to do such a thing?

We have become walking billboards. Have to have the nike shoes with the nike symbol on it and our t shirts. Now with Tattoo's which are different than shoes or t shirts we can take off and throw away once we grow up enough to realize that being a walking billboard for unpaid endorsement of products or beliefs, but a tattoo is forever. Can't so easily be removed. Everybody impulse shops, fills their homes with things they don't need and yet they can't stop shopping, can't stop tattooing themselves either, can't get enough nike. I saw a video that says tv has subliminal messages on it. I know back in the 50's and 60's, many companies snuck in subliminal messages in all tv shows and movies and commercials. They made them stop eventually (after 20 years first of brain washing) but apparently its back on again. If people are acting stranger, they might try turning off the tv. If we need news or weather now, we have the internet. Pretty much all shows on TV you can watch somewhere on the web for free anyway. We pay a ton for cable so we can have 200 or more channels, when we can only watch one channel at a time, this TV addiction has gone over the tipping point. And now tattooing is the rage and nobody knows why. I'm betting, some subliminal things on tv are trying to get us to vegetate ourselves into some kind of idiotic stupor and become the non thinking zombies of the future they will need. I turned off my tv for good 2 years ago and the change in me is so astounding. I don't impulse shop anymore. I have no desire to be a walking billboard either. I don't care if I buy nike shoes or just wear some cheap flip flops i buy at the dollar store. I am happy, content, and no longer feeling the void we all keep trying to fill by shopping shopping shopping or injuring our bodies with multiple piercings and tattoo's. How much cardio for a six pack?

I'm 17, 5'8" and 123 lbs. I'm skinny and all, but I'm trying to get toned, not big, just leaner looking, more solid. Every day, I watch my diet and everything, and in the evening, I do about 20 minutes of rigorous exercise, upper body one day, lower body the next. It gets my heart pumping, It gets my entire body worked out and sweating. Since I learned to start alternating, I have tired myself out from indoor exercise, that I'm too exhausted to do my 4 mile walk. Which is why I am asking. If I can truly feel the indoor stuff I've been doing to the point of physical exhaustion, is that 4 mile walk really that important? My friend told me it wasn't, but I thought I'd get more advice.
